Family and Kids Dentistry
Our practice is truly family-centered. We provide care for children and toddlers of all ages. We love seeing kids in our practice. We believe that starting dental visits as young as one or two years old allows a child to become comfortable seeing their dentist and hygienist, and sets them up for a lifetime of successful dental care.
Tooth Extractions
If you have a toothache or tooth that just can't be fixed, we offer dental extractions. Many of our patients appreciate being able to complete this service in our office, as many dental practices do not offer tooth extraction.
Root Canal Treatment
If a root canal is necessary to relieve a toothache, we can provide this service in our office. We always do our best to get emergency patients in right away. By disinfecting and cleaning out the roots of your tooth, we can get rid of the bacteria causing your tooth pain and infection.
Cosmetic Dentistry
If you have ever seen the television show “Extreme Makeover,” then you know what a tremendous difference cosmetic dentistry can make in a person’s appearance. Keep in mind, however, that some dental makeovers are not “extreme”- often relatively minor procedures can create positive results.
Whitening
We offer professional strength whitening that can brighten your smile. Tooth whitening is a simple process that can result in a dramatic change in the appearance of your teeth. With custom fit trays and and professional strength bleach, you can achieve the best whitening results possible.
Bonding & Tooth Colored Fillings
One common cosmetic dental procedure is known as “bonding”. Tooth colored filling material can be bonded to broken, worn, or discolored teeth to match surrounding teeth. Bonding is relatively inexpensive and simple. Composite resin can easily be shaped and polished, helping restore your smile. Bonding works especially well on chipped or discolored teeth. Many patients dislike the look of silver or metal filings. We offer tooth colored (composite) fillings that can blend seamlessly with your tooth.
Veneers
Our practice offers strong and thin porcelain veneers that can quickly beautify your smile.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns
A crown is generally used to strengthen a weakened or broken tooth. We offer tooth colored crowns in the strongest materials available. Also, with our digital scanner, you don’t have to take old fashioned goop impressions. Crowns can also be used to help straighten misaligned teeth, or improve the appearance of discolored teeth.
Bridges
Bridges are still a great option to replace a missing tooth or two. A bridge connects to the tooth on either side of the empty space. It has a false tooth connected in the middle, and is cemented in so it does not come in and out.
Digital Impressions
Do you hate getting dental impressions? You don’t have to have a mouth full of goop in our office with our digital scanner.
- The scanner allows for a quicker, easier and more accurate impression of your teeth.
- The scan cannot distort like an old fashioned impression, allowing the most accurate fit.
- It also allows us to get our crowns and bridges back much faster, meaning less waiting on your final restoration.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are a great choice to replace missing teeth, or to anchor loose dentures and partials. Dr. Gillespie has completed extensive continuing education in the dental implant field.
Single missing tooth
A single dental implant can be used to replace a missing tooth. The procedure has become relatively routine in modern dentistry. With a 3D scan of your mouth, Dr. Gillespie can digitally plan you implant. The practice has state of the art software that then allows “guided placement” of this implant through fabrication of a surgical sleeve. The implant is placed precisely where it was planned on the software, allowing a perfect fit, and natural looking and feeling tooth replacement.
Loose dentures and partials
With 2 or more dental implants, Dr. Gillespie can help alleviate the struggle of ill fitting and loose dentures. Snaps can be placed on top of the implants and inside of your denture, allowing for a secure fit.
